Lancaster County

My second trip to this beautiful part of Pennsylvania. Corn fields, Amish buggies, covered bridges, quilt shops, the list goes on........

Here comes a buggy

A different bridge, another buggy

There goes a buggy

Sunday service - this is the wagon used to carry the church seats from house to house.

Mules and corn field

Outside the shoe shop

Amish yard sale! Very similar to a garage sale here, except for the chicken BBQ. Hundreds of chicken thighs being grilled, smelt delicious. we resisted and bought raspberries further along the road.

My purchase here - 4 damask table napkins, for 10c each. The Amish lady apologised that they weren't starched "We just took them out of the cupboard at the last minute"
and I also bought the most beautiful hand made soap for gifts.
