It's the end of week 1 for the school year - no children were present (except newies enrolling and a few collecting book lists). Lots of new staff, some good professional development including getting the staff of the three merging schools together. Monday will see the children return, including this year's Preppies (remember when the preps were called "the Bubs" class) all excited and keen to be big "school kids".
Inspector Roondog arrived home last night - he has been given the "stripper's version" of his uniform - hat, belt and boots - thankfully he didn't model it for us! but came in, said "hello" and promptly left to catch up with his mates.
I found this photo taken two years ago on Australia Day - Roondog playing in his band at our city's Australia Day picnic in the Park. He may be playing the drum at graduation later this year - somehow I think that gig will be a little less rowdy than this one was!
